Anti-phospho AS160 (Thr642) Antibody
AS160 (Akt substrate of 160 kDa), a Rab GTPase-activating protein, is an Akt substrate implicated in the regulation of GLUT4 translocation. Multiple Akt phosphorylation sites have been identified on AS160, with five sites showing increased phosphorylation following insulin treatment. Phosphorylation of AS160 by AMPK is involved in the regulation of contraction-stimulated GLUT4 translocation. AS160 phosphorylation is impaired in some patients with type 2 diabetes.
