RAOEC PB30405 Medium and Supplements
Rat Endothelial Cell Growth Medium, 500 ml - PMR211500Endothelial Cell Growth Supplement, 15 ml - PMR211GSAttachment Factor Solution, 100 ml - PR123100Subculture Reagent Kit, (Hanks Buffered Saline Solution, 100 ml, Trypsin/EDTA Solution, 100 ml, Trypsin Neutralization Solution, 100 ml) - PR090100KPrimaPure Rat Aortic Endothelial Cells (RAOEC) are isolated from aorta of healthy adult rats. They are cryopreserved at third passage and can be cultured and propagated to sixth passage and beyond without losing their morphologic and phenotypic characteristics. RAOEC is a relevant in vitro model for correlating with in vivo studies in rat as an animal model. RAOEC have been used as a model for the study of Atherosclerosis and products synthesized by the endothelium. The interaction of aortic endothelium and smooth muscle cells regulate the level and distribution of glycosaminoglycans in the arterial wall, especially in the intima. Co-culture of aortic endothelial cells and smooth muscle cells provide an ideal in vitro model for studying the interaction between these two cells types.
RAOSMC PB35405 Medium and Supplements
Rat Smooth Muscle Cell Growth Medium, 500 ml - PMR311500Smooth Muscle Cell Basal Medium, 500 ml - PMR310500Smooth Muscle Cell Growth Supplement, 50 ml - PMR311GSSubculture Reagent Kit, (Hanks Buffered Saline Solution, 100 ml, Trypsin/EDTA Solution, 100 ml, Trypsin Neutralization Solution, 100 ml) - PR090100KPrimaPure Rat Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells (RAOSMC) are derived from the tunica intima and tunica media of healthy, fibrous plaque-free rat aorta. They are cryopreserved at second passage and can be cultured and propagated at least 16 population doublings. Increased arterial smooth muscle cell mass are found in the intimal lesion of atherosclerosis. Rat aortic smooth muscle cells respond to various factors by cell proliferation and hypertrophy, which are prominent indicators of atherosclerosis in vascular diseases. RAOSMC are well suited for the study of large vessel smooth muscle cell growth and differentiation and serve as in vitro model in correlation with live rat models
RCF SR30605A Medium and Supplements
Rat Fibroblast Growth Medium, 500 ml - PMR116500Fibroblast Growth Supplement, 50 ml - PMR116GSFibroblast Basal Medium, 500 ml - PMR115500Subculture Reagent Kit, (Hanks Buffered Saline Solution, 100 ml, Trypsin/EDTA Solution, 100 ml, Trypsin Neutralization Solution, 100 ml) - PR090100KPrimaPure Rat Cardiac Fibroblasts (RCF) are derived from the heart tissue of normal Sprague Dawley rats. They are cryopreserved at second passage and can be cultured and propagated at least 8 population doublings. Rat Cardiac Fibroblasts are known to play key roles in the development of cardiac disease and hypertrophy. The regulation of fibroblast growth after acute myocardial infarction was determined in RCF. Cardiac fibroblasts were examined as a potential source of pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-6 synthesis which had been implicated in the pathophysiology of heart disease. RCF have also been used to study the autocrine/paracrine capability mediated by vasodilator such as adernomedullin. RCF are used to investigate their role in local hormone metabolism. Nitric oxide (NO) production in RCF decreases cAMP accumulation largely by the cGMP-mediated activation of PDE2. IL-1 beta-induced inducible NO synthase expression can trigger NO-dependent apoptosis in adult RCF.
