- Description: BLEACH-RITE® contains pre-mixed, ready-to-use bleach at a 1:10 concentration (.525% bleach) at expiration, which is the concentration recommended by the NCCLS, OSHA, CDC for disinfection against bacteria, viruses, spores.Specific germ kill times are listed in matrix above.BLEACH-RITE® eliminates the need to mix concentrated bleach with water daily.
- Size: BLEACH-RITE® is available in 16 and 32 oz. bottles with sprayers; ½ gallon and gallon bottles.
- Shelf Life: The bleach solution in BLEACH-RITE® is stabilized for an 18-month shelf life (from manufacture date) with expiration date on each bottle; the outer box label also contains the expiration date for ease of management / inspection.
- Regulatory: Registered as a hospital-grade one-step cleaner / disinfectant with the U.S. EPA, California DPR, Massachusetts and other states with approved germicidal kill claims for C. Difficile Spores, TB, hepatitis -A, -B, -C, MRSA, and numerous bacteria and viruses (see matrix above).
- Simplify Inspections: If labs / hospitals mix bleach in-house it must be mixed daily since the bleach loses potency in 24 hours; managers have to monitor the dates mixed and make the data available for inspections. With BLEACH-RITE®, inspections are smoother and manager oversight is not required as BLEACH-RITE® contains stabilized bleach with an 18-month shelf life and expiration date on each bottle and is EPA-registered.
- Surface Compatability: For use on hard, non-porous surfaces including plastics, Plexiglas®, glass, glazed ceramic tile, linoleum, baked enamel. Can be used on stainless steel, but follow equipment manufacturers" directions; some directions may specify that the surface be rinsed after disinfection.
- Odor: Has a minimal bleach scent. Many customers state that they prefer our bleach products as the scent is less pungent compared to other products or bleach mixed in-house.
- Efficacy Against C. Difficile Spores: BLEACH-RITE® killed C. Difficile Spores in four minutes in the presence of a 3-part organic soil load in testing at an independent lab; the results were approved by the EPA.This newer testing method (in the presence of 3-part organic soil load) required BLEACH-RITE® to produce a 6-log reduction of C. Difficile Spores in the presence of 3 different protein components (serum, mucin and yeast extract). To clean / disinfect against C. Difficile Spores, the EPA specifies that pre-cleaning is required for all disinfectants.
- Toxicity: Independent lab tests for reaction to BLEACH-RITE® (e.g. if the bleach solution was ingested orally, on skin, in eyes, inhaled), showed minimal impact. The EPA determined that only the lowest level signal word "Caution" is required on its label.
- Ebola Virus Disinfection Guidance: BLEACH-RITE® is on the EPA"s List L: Disinfectants for Use Against the Ebola Virus.CDC / OSHA / EPA Guidance for Disinfection Against Ebola Virus, Enterovirus 68 indicates: "Use a U.S. EPA-registered hospital disinfectant with a label claim for a non-enveloped virus (e.g., norovirus, rotavirus, adenovirus, poliovirus) to disinfect environmental surfaces in rooms of patients with suspected or confirmed Ebola virus infection."... BLEACH-RITE® meets this standard as it is an EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectant with one-minute kill claims against several non-enveloped viruses including hepatitis A, norovirus, rotavirus, poliovirus.
- No Further Irradiation / Processing: The efficacy of BLEACH-RITE® may be adversely affected by any further processing, including irradiation / sterilization.Current Technologies is not responsible for product efficacy / expiration / kill claims if product is altered by irradiation / sterilization and / or any further processing.
- Use to clean / disinfect hard non-porous surfaces and to preclean / decontaminate; not to be used as a sterilant or on any surface or instrument to be introduced directly into the human body.
- Clinical and Reference labs use BLEACH-RITE® to clean / disinfect counters, sinks, and on numerous instruments and analyzers, centrifuges, cryostats (in accordance with their manufacturers" specifications).
- Research, Biotech and Pharma labs use BLEACH-RITE® for disinfection of instruments used in molecular analysis, gene sequencing, and to clean / disinfect centrifuges, cryostats, freezers, counters, sinks.
- General hospital and physician office areas for use include ER, OR, ICU, radiology, nursing stations, patient rooms, clinics, dialysis and outpatient.Often used to disinfect counters, sinks, blood glucose monitors, outer sides of equipment, IV poles, bed railings, probes, blood pressure cuffs, mammography equipment, carts, wheelchairs, gurneys, EMS backboards, point of care instruments.
- Veterinary uses include disinfection of animal equipment, cages, treatment areas, counters, sinks.Tests at an independent lab showed that BLEACH-RITE® kills Canine Parvovirus and Feline Panleukopenia in two minutes, and the EPA approved the claims against these animal-borne viruses.
