Hybridoma clones have been derived from hybridization of X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cells with spleen
cells of Balb/c mice immunized with purified human insulin.
MAb C7C9 reacts with C-terminal pentapeptide of insulin β-chain. MAbs 7F8, D4B8, 3A6 and 8E2
react with different antigenic determinants.
Kass for MAb 7F8 is 7.5 x 109M-1
Kass for MAb D4B8 is 1.5 x 108M-1
Kass for MAb 3A6 is 8.0 x 108M-1
Kass for MAb 8E2 is 6.0 x 108M-1
Kass for MAb C7C9 is 1.0 x 109M-1
Kass for MAb 7F5 is 1.0 x 109M-1
These antibodies cross-react with human proinsulin, bovine insulin (30%) and porcine insulin. No
cross-reaction with free C-peptide.
(capturedetection): 7F8 – D4B8, 3A6 – 8E2.
MAb D4B8 can be used in immunohistochemistry on frozen sections.
