Carrier Free
CF stands for Carrier Free (CF). We typically add Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a carrier protein to our recombinant proteins.Adding a carrier protein enhances protein stability, increases shelf-life, and allows the recombinant protein to be stored at a more dilute concentration.The carrier free version does not contain BSA.
In general, we advise purchasing the recombinant protein with BSA for use in cell or tissue culture, or as an ELISA standard.In contrast, the carrier free protein is recommended for applications, in which the presence of BSA could interfere.

Ubiquitin conjugation factor E4 B (UBE4B, also known as Ubiquitin fusion degradationprotein 2) is a recently identified E3 and E4 Ubiquitin ligase that physically interacts with p53 andHdm2 to promote p53 polyubiquitination and degradation. Recent work in mouse models suggests that p53 loss in accelerated medulloblastomas is driven by UBE4B. Overexpression of UBE4B correlated with decreased expression of p53 in xenotransplant tumor models, and overexpression of UBE4B is often observed in human brain tumors. UBE4B appears to be involved in multiple pathways that are associated with neuronal survival.
