MellitusViolet2™issolddryandissimplyreconstitutedbyaddingwater/MeOH.Onevialofourglucoseprobewilltypicallyallowfor10glucosemeasurementstobeundertaken,whenfurtherdilutedinto3cm3volumeswithinacuvette.50µLofwater/MeOHand/orbufferistypicallyaddedtoeachdryvial.Subsequently,5µLaliquotsdilutedto3cm3,typicallygiveanoptimumODof≈0.25.
Foroptimumperformance,probevialsshouldbestoredat-2to-8Cwhennotbeingused.Probesolutionsshouldbeusedafterdilution.WerecommendtheuseofMellitusVioletC™,thecontrolcompoundforMellitusViolet2™,totestforpossIBLebackgroundinterferences,suchasfromfructose,othersugarsanddiolinterference.
