SPARCL(SpatialProximityAnalyteReagentCaptureLuminescence)isaproximitydependentchemiluminescenttechnologyforthedetectionofspecificbindinginteractionorassociationbetweentwobindingpartners.InaSPARCLassay,abindingpartnerlabeledwithachemiluminescentsubstrate(acridan)andasecondbindingpartnerlabeledwithhorserADIshperoxidase(HRP)arebroughtintocloseproximitytoeachotherthroughaspecificbindingevent.BecauseofthiscloseproximityofacridantotheHRPenzymeaflashofchemiluminescenceisgenerateduponadditionofatriggersolutioncontaininghydrogenperoxideandanenhancer.
