MonoclonalantibodiesdirectedagainstCD2inhibittheformationofrosetteswithsheeperythrocytes,indicatingthatCD2istheerythrocytereceptororiscloselyassociatedwithit.RecombinantCD2proteincouldbeservicedascoatingmatrixproteinforstudyhumanTcellsexpansioninvitro.
Full-lengthextracellulardomainofhumanCD2gene(25–209aa)wasconstructedwith31N-terminalT7/HistagandexpressedinE.coliasinclusionbodies.Thefinalproductwasrefoldedusingaunique“temperatureshiftinclusionbodyrefolding”technologyandchromatographicallypurified.
