APC2,alsoknownasAnaphasepromotingcomplexsubunit2,APC2,Cyclosomesubunit2,andANAPC2,isacomponentoftheanaphasepromotingcomplex/cyclosome(APC/C),acellcycle-regulatedE3ubiquitinligasethatcontrolsprogressionthroughmitosisandtheG1phaseofthecellcycle. TheAPC/cyclosomeproteincomplexpromotesmetaphase-anaphasetransitionbyubiquitinatingitsspecificsubstratessuchasmitoticcyclinsandanaphaseinhibitors,whicharesubsequentlydegradedbythe26Sproteasome.BiochemicalstudieshaveshownthatthevertebrateAPCcontainsatleastelevensubunits.ThecompositionofAPCishighlyconservedinorganismsfromyeasttohumans.APC2isacullinfamilymemberthatinteractsthroughthecullindomainwithANAPC11andUBCH10.

Researchersshoulddetermineoptimaltitersforotherapplications.
