TheDetectX® RetinolBindingProtein(RBP)Multi-FormatEIAKitisdesignedtoallowforthemeasurementofbothhighandlowRBPlevelsinavarietyofsamplesincludingdriedbloodspots,serum,EDTAandheparinplasmaandurinewiththesamekit.ThekitusesnativehumanRBPasastandard.StandardsordilutedsamplesareaddedtoacoatedmicrotiterplatealongwithaRBP-peroxidaseconjugateandthebindingreactioninitiatedbyadditionofaRBP-specificsheepantibody.Aftera60-minuteincubation,theplateiswashedandTMBsubstratesolutionadded.After30minutes,thecolordevelopmentisstoppedandtheintensityofthegeneratedsignalisreadat450nm.
