Part of the cellular endomembrane system, the Golgi apparatus packages proteins into membrane-bound vesicles inside the cell before the vesicles are sent to their destination. The Golgi apparatus resides at the intersection of the secretory, lysosomal, and endocytic pathways. It is of particular importance in processing proteins for secretion, containing a set of glycosylation enzymes that attach various sugar monomers to proteins as the proteins move through the apparatus. [Wiki]This antibody is useful in staining the Golgi apparatus in cell or tissue preparations and subcellular fractions.
Titering of the Golgi antibody may be required for optimal performance.1. The prediluted format is supplied in a dropper bottle and is optimized for use in IHC. After epitope retrieval step (if required), drip mAb solution onto the tissue section and incubate at RT for 30 min.
The Golgi fraction from human liver cells was used as the immunogen for the Golgi antibody. Not suitable for mouse and rat sample testing.
Store the Golgi antibody at 2-8oC (with azide) or aliquot and store at -20oC or colder (without azide).
