Mechanism of Action

Apigenin is a ornithine decarboxylase inhibitor which promotes tumor growth and production. Apigenin also has been shown to inhibit nitric oxide synthase-2 and cyclooxygenase-2 activity in mouse macrophages. Several studies have demonstrated many other modes of action that account for the anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties of apigenin.
