BMP4isimplicatedinfibrodysplasiaossificansprogressive.Itisreportedtobeuniquelyoverexpressedinlymphoblastoidcellsandpreosseousfibroproliferativelesions.BMPs1to6arealsoreportedtobeexpressedinprostaticadenocarcinomaswithBMPs1to5alsoexpressedinbothbenignandprostatichyperplasiaandocularmelanoma.
