TheImmunoStarVMAT2antiserumwasqualitycontroltestedusingstandardimmunohistochemicalmethodsinratbrainandadrenalmedullausingbiotin/avidin-HRPtechniques.

Specificityoftheantiserumwasdemonstratedbysolublepre-adsorptionandWesternblot.TissuestainingiscompletelyeliminatedbypretreatmentofthedilutedantibodywithanexcessofratVMAT2peptideresidues496-515. 

Westernblotanalysisofimmunoprecipitatedratbrainhomogenatesdemonstratesadenseimmunoreactivebandofapproximately55kDandaminorbandofapproximately75kD.
