TheHistamineantiserumwasqualitycontroltestedusingstandardimmunohistochemicalmethods.Theantiserumdemonstratesstronglypositivelabelingofrathypothalamususingindirectimmunofluorescentandbiotin/avidin-HRPtechniques.Recommendedprimarydilutionis1/4000-1/6000inPBS/0.3%TritonX-100biotin/avidin-HRPTechnique.AllstainingisblockedbypreabsorptionoftheantiserumwithHistamineconjugate.CrossreactivityexperimentsindicatenocrossreactivitywithL-histidineorL-histidinecontainingpeptidessuchasLH-RH.
