ThenewBadrillaSiteCounterTM S-PalmitoylatedproteinkitisaquickandeasywaytoquantifytheextentofS-palmitoylationofyourproteinofinterest.Usingastraightforwardmasstagapproach,modificationofeachcysteineresidueresultsinanincrementalincreaseinthemassoftheprotein. Thenumberofmobilityshifts(asdetectedbywesternblotanalysis)isobservedasaladderofproteinbands,each‘step’intheladderrepresentinganadditionalS-palmitoylatedcysteineresidue.
