Ent-Androstenedione
Ent-Androstenedione is an enantiomer of the male hormone androstenedione.
Enantiomers, also known as optical isomers, are a type of stereoisomer. They are a pair of non-superimposable compounds that are mirror images of one another. Enantiomers differ in their ability to rotate plane-polarized light (+/−) by equal amounts but in opposite directions. They have identical melting points, boiling points, density, dissociation strengths, reaction rates, and solubilities.
Androstenedione is an anabolic androgenic delta-4 C19 steroid hormone, produced mainly in the testis and also in the ovary and the cortex of the adrenal glands.
Androstenedione is known for its key role as a precursor in the production of testosterone and estrone and estrogen.
When administered orally, androstenedione is proven to increase testosterone levels. Thus, the compound is believed to enhance athletic performance, build body muscles, increase energy, reduce fats, maintain healthy RBCs, and increase sexual performance, though for some of these effects there is insufficient evidence.
Androstenedione enantiomer, Ent-Androstenedione, is intended for research of androstenedione effects and applications, along with other various types of studies.
Avanti’s Ent-Androstenedione is created to the latest requirements and technology methods, so it is a quality and pure compound for reliable analytical work.
