TPAcyk measures key epitopes of TPA (Tissue Polypeptide Antigen) fragments. The monoclonal 6D7 and 3F3 antibodies used in the test are specific for cytokeratin 8 and 18, with no detectable cross reactivity to other tumor associated antigens that may be present in patient samples. The assay is a sensitive indicator of tumor cell activity and is useful in the management of patients with carcinomas of epithelial origin
