The PromoKine Matrix Dissociation Buffer is a non-enzymatic matrix and cell dissociation buffer formulated mainly with EDTA. It is used to dissolve the matrix and dissociate adherent cells in tissue culture. It is to be an alternative to Trypsin when used in conjunction with serum-free or serum-containing media. EDTA prevents platelet aggregation and is, therefore, the preferred anticoagulant for platelet counts.
