Recombinant Human OTUD3 Catalytic Domain Protein, CF Summary
Reaction conditions will need to be optimized for each specific application. We recommend an initial Recombinant Human OTUD3 Catalytic Domain concentration of 0.05-0.5 μM.
Product Datasheets
Carrier Free
CF stands for Carrier Free (CF). We typically add Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a carrier protein to our recombinant proteins.Adding a carrier protein enhances protein stability, increases shelf-life, and allows the recombinant protein to be stored at a more dilute concentration. The carrier free version does not contain BSA.
In general, we advise purchasing the recombinant protein with BSA for use in cell or tissue culture, or as an ELISA standard. In contrast, the carrier free protein is recommended for applications, in which the presence of BSA could interfere.

Background: OTUD3
OTU domain-containing protein 3 (OTUD3) is a specialized cysteine protease and a member of the ovarian tumor (OTU) protein super-family with a predicted molecular weight of 45 kDa. The human protein shares 83% amino acid sequence identity with its mouse ortholog. OTUD3 is exceedingly well characterized in terms of the structure-function relationship that results in the enzymes preferred polyubiquitin substrates. This untagged recombinant protein contains the catalytic (OTU) and UBA-like (Ubiquitin Associated) domains of OTUD3, and demonstrates a strong preference for K6- and K11-linked polyubiquitin chains.
