Rabbit polyclonal antibody to FCGRT, which is also known as FCRN and neonatal Fc receptor. FCRN is a protein frequently found in the Single-pass type I membrane and is expressed in the uterus as well as hematopoietic bone marrow. It is overexpressed in spleen and nasopharynx. It extensively binds to the Fc region of monomeric immunoglobulins gamma i.e. IgG. IgG in milk is bound at the apical surface of the intestinal epithelium. The resultant FcRn-IgG complexes are transcytosed across the intestinal epithelium and IgG is released from FcRn into blood or tissue fluids.
