NDiff 227 medium is a defined, serum-free, N2- and B-27 supplemented medium for neural differentiation of mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells in adherent monoculture (Ying et al. 2003). NDiff 227 can also be supplemented to enable long-term pluripotent stem cell culture. Successive withdrawal of the supplements results in differentiation into the neural lineage.
