DNase I (RNase-free) is a recombinant endonuclease that nonspecifically catalyzes the degradation of both single- and double-stranded DNA and DNA-RNA hybrids, producing 5"-phosphate and 3"-hydroxyl termini-containing oligonucleotides of varying lengths. The protease activity of DNase I endonucleasehas been eliminated; therefore, this enzyme is stable at its optimal (neutral) pH range and is suitable for RNA preparation at neutral pH.
