This is because, unlike other transfection products, Xfect Transfection Reagent contains a biodegradable cationic polymer that binds to DNA, resulting in the formation of nanocomplexes that are quickly and efficiently taken up by the cell. Because the Xfect Transfection Reagent is serum-compatible, cells do not become stressed and apoptotic due to the removal of serum or the addition of serum-free medium.
