CellAmp Direct RNA Prep Kit for One Step RT-PCR (Real Time) is for the preparation of templates for use in one-step and two-step real-time RT-PCR, utilizing a simple method of extraction directly from cultured cells in 96-well plates or other culture vessels.

Using this kit with a one-step real-time RT-PCR kit allows gene expression analysis to be performed in approximately two hours. Templates can be prepared directly from small quantities of cells, which is useful for analysis of a gene expression profile and does not influence the high sensitivity of real-time RT-PCR. Genomic DNA can be removed efficiently with this kit, making it a powerful tool for expression analysis of genes for which primers cannot be designed on both ends of an exon junction, or for analysis of low-expressed genes.
