PrimeScriptIIReverseTranscriptaseprovidessuperioryieldandexceptionalspecificityduringlongCDNAsynthesisorreversetranscriptionofRNAwithhighlevelsofsecondarystructure.ThePrimeScriptIIReverseTranscriptasesystemincludesanaccessoryproteinthatinhibitsnon-specificextension,whichpromoteshigherspecificityduringbothprimingandannealingevents.Italsoinhibitsnon-specificbindingofthereversetranscriptasewithinRNAregionsthatformcomplexsecondarystructures.Additionally,thisenzymesystemfacilitatesrapid,efficientproductionoffull-lengthcDNAproductsatanRNA-friendlystandardreactiontemperature(42°C).BecausePrimeScriptIIRTinhibitsmis-priming,samplehandingissimplified.Forexample,cDNAsynthesisremainsrobustevenwhensamplesarepre-incubatedoniceforupto30minutes,allowingamoreflexIBLeworkflow—aparticularadvantageduringhigh-throughputstudies.First-strandcDNAssynthesizedwiththiskitcanbeusedforavarietyofapplications,includingsecond-strandsynthesis,hybridization,cDNAlibraryconstruction,andPCRamplification.PrimeScriptIIReverseTranscriptaseisusefulforanyapplicationrequiringthesynthesisofhigh-quality,full-lengthcDNA.
