This product is used to determine ALP content in human serum.
This method use 4-Nitrophenyl phosphate (4-NPP) as the substrate, 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) as the acceptor of the phosphate to enhance the enzymatic reaction rate. No colored ALP in the sample catalyzes the hydrolysis of 4-NPP, forming phosphate and free 4-Nitrophenyl, then 4-Nitrophenyl converted to yellow colored 4-nitrophenoxide ion under alkaline condition. The ALP activity in the sample can be calculated by monitoring the increasing rate of absorbance at 405nm.
