NR1 Glutamate Receptor Monoclonal AntibodyORDERING INFORMATION
Catalog No.: 56525 (clone S308-48) Size: 100ug in PBS (1mg/ml), pH 7.4, 50% glycerol, 0.09% sodium azide.
Purified by Protein G affinity chromatography.
BACKGROUNDThe NMDA receptor (NMDAR), a glutamate receptor, is the predominant molecular device for controlling synaptic plasticity and memory function. NMDAR is a heterotetramer of two NR1 and two NR2 subunits. Multiple receptor isoforms with distinct brain distributions and functional properties arise by selective splicing of the NR1 transcripts and
differential expression of the NR2 subunits.
SPECIFICATION SUMMARYAntigen: Fusion protein corresponding to aa 42-361 (extracellular N-terminus) of rat NR1 (accession no. NP_058706.1).
Host Species: Mouse
Antibody Class: IgG1
SPECIFICITYThis antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat NR1.
APPLICATIONSImmunoblotting: use at 1-2ug/ml. A band of ~105kDa is detected.
Immunoblot on rat brain membranes.
Immunohistochemistry: use at 1-5ug/ml. These are recommended concentrations. Enduser should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.
Positive control: Rat brain membranes.
DILUTION INSTRUCTIONSDilute in PBS or medium which is identical to that used in the assay system.
STORAGE AND STABILITYThis product is stable for at least 1 year at
-20oC. Freeze in multiple aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
For in vitro investigational use only. Not for use in therapeutic or diagnostic procedures.
