Specifications
USP7 (HAUSP) was originally identified by its binding activity to a herpes viral protein, ICP0. USP7 plays a key role in regulating the ubiquitylation of the RING-finger E3 ligase Mdm2 (and its human homolog Hdm2) by deubiquitylating and stabilizing Mdm2. Additional targets of USP7 have been identified including the forkhead transcription factor, FOXO44. Full length USP7 cleaves Ub-PLA2 with high efficiency.
