Theantibodywascharacterizedbyimmunoblottingandimmunohistochemistry.Immunoblotsofratbrainextractsrevealedthepresenceoftwobandsatmolecularweightsof41and47kD.Thelowerweightbandagreeswiththecalculatedmolecularweightbasedonaminoacidsequence.Thehigherweightmayrepresentglycosylatedreceptorprotein.
