CD39 contributes to immune regulation through the hydrolysis of ATP to AMP in the rate limiting step of extracellular adenosine production. CD39 is expressed on the surface of multiple cells of the immune system including T-cells, Natural killer cells, B-cells, dendritic cells and macrophages. In addition, high levels of CD39 expression have been associated with the tumor microenvironment (TME). Research aimed at reducing immunosuppression by CD39 activity has resulted in the study of a small molecule inhibitor, POM1, and multiple anti-CD39 antibodies selected for blocking enzymatic activityor decreasing CD39 expression.

This protein runs at a higher MWby SDS-PAGE due to glycosylation. Specific Activity: ≥3000 pmol/min/μg Assay Conditions: Add CD39 enzyme to 50 μl reaction mix containing 0.5 mM ATP and 10 mM CaCl2. Incubate 1h at RT with slow shaking. Add 50 μl GLO Max to every well. Finally, read luminescence. Formulation: 8 mM phosphate, pH 7.4, 110 mM NaCl, 2.2 mM KCl, and 20% glycerol. Storage / Stability: At least 6 months at –80°C. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Storing diluted enzyme is not recommended, if necessary use carrier protein (BSA 0.1 – 0.5%).
