The digested DNA includes fragments ranging from 100 bp to 10 kb. The 0.5, 1.0 and 3.0 kb bands have increased intensity to serve as reference bands.2-Log DNA Ladder visualized by ethidium bromide staining on a 1.0% TBE agarose gel. Mass values are for 1 µg/lane.Suggested Load: 10 µl/lane.UV Shadow ComparisonThe new Gel Loading Dye, Purple (6X) (Lane 1) included in the Quick-Load Purple 2-log DNA Ladder does not cast a UV shadow over the underlying bands, unlike the Gel Loading Dye, Blue (6X) (Lane 2).

Preparation of DNAThe double-stranded DNA is digested to completion with appropriate restriction enzymes, phenol extracted and equilibrated in storage buffer.Usage recommendationWe recommend loading 5-10 ul (0.5-1 ug) of Quick-Load Purple 2-Log DNA Ladder per gel lane. The Quick-Load Purple 2-Log DNA Ladder is not intended for precise quantification of DNA mass but can be used for approximating the mass of DNA in comparably intense samples of similar size.Quick-Load Purple 2-Log DNA Ladder is stable for at least 6 months at 25°C.For long term storage, store at 4°C or -20°C.If stored at -20°C, mix well after thawing. If not well mixed, the load may float out of the wells.
